•Precautions for the passengers carrying valuables
The Company and the ground handling agent companies shall make reasonably best effort to properly handle passengers’ checked baggage. However, the risk of loss and damage to the baggage sometimes cannot be completely avoided. Moreover, according to international rules, the Company is not liable for compensation for any loss of the valuables inside the checked baggage. As such, passengers are strongly advised to bring valuables on board instead of packing them in the checked baggage. If the carry-on baggage exceeds the size and weight restrictions stipulated by the Company and has to be checked in instead, passengers are reminded: in accordance with international practice, that compensation for baggage loss or damage is calculated according to the weight of the baggage. To prevent the compensation of lost or damaged valuables to be processed as per that for normal baggage, resulting in a greater loss for passengers, passengers are advised to consult an insurance company to purchase insurance for their valuables in advance.
